Your mission in 2021 Capricorn is to live your soul’s calling

The first New Moon of 2021 is intense. Old world structures continue to crumble as new ways of being emerge. In Virgo, Vesta holds the handle of an all or nothing bucket shape, reminding us to create sacred space for personal well-being. Aquarius planets put ingenious humanitarian solutions on the table. The freedom-seeking energies of Jupiter square Uranus on the 17th, indicate strong collective urges for equality. Saturn, in Aquarius until 2023, will apply the brakes to any excessive breakouts. By early February, we may see satisfying breakthroughs. On the 21st and 22nd Mars/Uranus and Ceres/Neptune suggest volatility, tempered by compassion.

In 2021 Black Moon Lilith is in Aries, Taurus and Gemini, signs of the emerging self. Time to look at the shadow sides of our identity, our values, and the ways we communicate. Often retrograde, this dark goddess repeatedly meets with Uranus, Mars, Eris and Sedna. Sedna is an Inuit goddess whose story is one of immense suffering. Associated with the birth of new life forms and conservation, she may also be a conduit to ancient wisdom and ancestral memories. The most far-out planet in our solar system, Sedna can be in one sign for 100 years. She impacts humanity as a whole, moving us to the next level of collective awareness. Her closer than usual proximity to Earth means Sedna has been in Taurus since 1966 and will venture into Gemini in 2024.
A T-square between Sun/Jupiter, Mars and the Moon presents challenges at Leo Full Moon on the 29th. Tune into open-hearted energy and use creative pursuits to release mental overload. From January 9 through to March 16 Mercury is in Aquarius. Retrograde from January 31 to February 21, the winged messenger's retrogrades in the Air signs in 2021 and 2022, emphasize communications, relationships and communities. On an everyday level, faulty machinery, flat tires or well-intentioned but misleading information may interrupt the flow of connectivity networks. Mercury retrograde is not the best time for making contracts and is better for focusing on time management and making sure the right information is going where we want it to go.
