Libra’s mission in 2020 is to reach the far-seeing light of creativity
New Moons set the tone for the month ahead. This New Moon, the Libra Sun and Moon create oppositions and squares with the big player planets in Aries and Capricorn. We will all feel this demanding energy, although it may manifest differently for each of us. The bottom line is how authentically we align our inner and outer realities. In Aquarius or Pisces since February, Ceres moving forward in Aquarius on the 19th beams in on human rights issues, pushing for action until she ventures into Pisces again on November 10. Retrograde Mercury meets Juno and opposes Uranus on October 20 stirring up, possibly entrenched, emotional conflicts over our own and others self-worth, values, and resources. Keeper of the eternal flame, Vesta, will be in Virgo from October 22 through to August 2021. Besides promoting work focus and perfectionism, Vesta in Virgo connects us with the sacred, reminding us to appreciate routines, rituals, and the power of prayer.

Pluto goes Direct on October 3 while Mercury goes into Scorpio, Pluto’s home sign. Pluto and Scorpio represent loss, death, metamorphosis and renewal. Since late April, Pluto has been retrograde, implying much deep soul searching. Capricorn Sun sign folk in particular have been transforming their realities since 2008. Out in the world, economics, politics and patriarchal power structures continue to buckle and warp. Mercury in Scorpio detests censorship and promotes honest communication.

The Sun goes into Scorpio on the 23rd then conjuncts Mercury on the 26th. Time to dive deeply into investigating habitual thinking and the emotions that lie hidden beneath. Scrutinize relationships from the 28th, when Mercury and Venus are both in Libra. All appearances are sociable and charming, but we may be wondering whose needs we are taking care of. With Mercury Direct on November 4, we can more easily give voice to any concerns. On the 8th, the Sun, Juno, and Uranus suggest emotional intimacy infused with electricity. Mercury is in Scorpio again by the 11th, while Pallas Athene, Jupiter, and Pluto make their third conjunction on the 13th, along with drumroll sound effects! The good fortune, luck, power, and wisdom implied by this combo urges us to make friends rather than enemies now. Aim to be generous and to make a difference. Mars Direct on the 14th promises brave new directions.
